He became involved in his profession because of his personal life experiences and attributes his success to the support he received from his mother.

In 1956, Dr. Innis earned his MD from the Boston University School of Medicine. He is a member of the New York County Medical Society and the American Medical Association. In the future, Dr. Innis hopes to write books for publication.
