Small Medical And Dental Practices Increasingly Measuring Patient Satisfaction
Ready-to-use survey tool enables health professionals to proactively listen to patients and measure satisfaction.
DENVER, CO, January 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Implementing a patient satisfaction survey is a labor-intensive and expensive proposition; therefore, its use has traditionally been restricted to large medical organizations. Recognizing the need to serve practices with less than 20 doctors, a start up named Report For Doc (www.reportfordoc.com) launched last year a web-based survey tool that attempts to increase adoption of patient satisfaction surveys among small medical and dental practices.
The process is simple: at the medical office, patients receive a survey invitation card. A unique code on each card provides access to an online pre-built questionnaire that asks patients to evaluate aspects such as the patient-doctor relationship, the medical staff and state of the facilities. Survey results are then released directly to the doctors subscribing to the service (they are not shared with the public).
According to the company, typical patients' response rates are between 10% and 20%. Collecting responses exclusively online and employing a standard questionnaire allows the service to be priced at $65 per month per doctor. In 2010, the company plans to continue to acquire users in the small practices segment.
